Discover Technical Diving

tec 45
  • This course is a short confined water experience that allows you to give technical diving a try. You get to wear all the extra tec diving gear and take it for a test dive.
  • Your PADI Tec Instructor will explain the equipment you’ll use and go over basic tec diving procedures, such as the importance of diving in teams.
Requirements:
  • Certified Open Water Diver
  • 18+ years old
  • At least 10 logged dives

Tec 40

tec 40
  • Designed for divers transitioning from recreational to technical diving.
  • You will qualify to make limited decompression dives to 40 metres/130 feet.
Requirements:
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification
  • PADI Enriched Air Diver certification with at least 10 dives using enriched air at depths greater than 18 meters/60 feet
  • PADI Deep Diver certification or with at least 10 logged dives up to 30 meters/100 feet
  • 18+ years old
  • Have at least 30 logged dives
  • Medical statement signed by a doctor within the last 12 months
Includes:
  • 3 chapters of knowledge development
  • 3 practical sessions
  • 4 open water dives

Tec 45

  • Second part of the full PADI Tec Deep Diver program
  • You’ll extend your depth limit to 45 metres/145 feet and learn to plan and execute repetitive decompression dives using a single stage/decompression cylinder.
Requirements:
  • PADI Tec 40 certification
  • PADI Rescue Diver certification
  • Have at least 50 logged dives, with at least 12 enriched nitrox air dives deeper than 18m/60ft and 6 dives deeper than 30m/100ft
  • 18+ years old
  • Medical statement signed by a doctor within the last 12 months
Includes:
  • 3 chapters of knowledge development
  • 3 practical sessions
  • 4 open water dives

Tec 50

tec trimix 65
  • Part 3 of the full PADI Tec Deep Diver program.
  • You will fully develop your knowledge and skills in technical diving at a maximum depth of 50 meters.
  • You will learn how to make extended, accelerated decompression stops using up to two gases.
Requirements:
  • PADI Tec 45 Certification
  • Have at least 100 logged dives, with at least 20 enriched nitrox air dives deeper than 18 meters/60 feet and 15 dives deeper than 30 meters/100 feet
  • 18+ years old
  • Medical statement signed by a doctor (within the last 12 months)
Includes:
  • 2 chapters of knowledge development
  • 4 practical sessions
  • 4 open water dives

Tec Trimix 65

  • Extend your depth range the right way with a mixture of helium, oxygen and nitrogen (trimix).
  • The Tec Trimix 65 program introduces you to the use of trimix at a maximum depth of 65 meters/210 feet.
Requirements:
  • PADI Tec 50 Certification
  • Have at least 100 logged dives
  • 18+ years old
  • Medical statement signed by a doctor (within the last 12 months)
Includes:
  • 4 theoretical sessions
  • 4 practical sessions
  • 5 open water dives

Tec Trimix Diver

The Tec Trimix Diver course takes experienced tec divers and turns them into extreme divers who go deeper and visit pristine sites where few others will ever go. Requirements:
  • PADI Tec 50 or Tec Trimix 65 certification
  • Have at least 150 logged dives
  • 18+ years old
  • Medical statement signed by a doctor (within the last 12 months)
Includes:
  • 4 theoretical sessions
  • 5 practical sessions
  • 8 open water dives

Tec Side Mount

  • With the Tec Sidemount Diver course, you can apply what you learn in other TecRec courses.
  • Configure multiple cylinders for technical diving.
Requirements:
  • PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification
  • Have at least 30 logged dives
  • 18+ years old
Includes:
  • 3 theoretical sessions
  • 2 practical sessions
  • 6 open water dives.
The Tec Side mount program can be combined with the Tec 40, Tec 45, Tec 50 program.

Tec Gas Blender

This course teaches you how to mix enriched nitrox air and helium-based gases using one or more mixing methods.

Requirements:

  • PADI Enriched Air Diver Certification
  • 18+ years old

What you will learn :

  • About the advantages and disadvantages of different blending methodologies.
  • To blend enriched air and trimix blends to within one percent of the target mix.
  • About the potential hazards related to handling oxygen, and how to manage those risks.
  • To demonstrate the steps for oxygen cleaning equipment, along with the requirements for oxygen service.

Includes:

  • 5 theoretical sessions
  • 2 practical sessions
