the PADI Public Safety Diver course is a specialized training course that introduces divers in the basic procedures and techniques that a public safety diver uses
Is not a professional certification but is a well organized course that develops :
the training combines theory , shallow water skills and underwarer scenarios
the program is ideal for certified divers who are :
no previous experience in public safety is required
The first dive introduce the basic diving skills and practices underwater
station 1: basic rescue techniques
The divers will practice fundamental skills about scuba diving and rescue techniques in a controlled environment
station 2: controlled ascent with a victim
practice ascents , descents, safety stop and control ascent with a victim
station 3: use of specialized gear and safety
knots, cutting tools and basic situations of engagement
(Surface Support Specialist)
the participants supports the dive , prepare the gear, check before the dive, monitor the steps before during and after the dive.
the second dive introduce search and rescue tecniques and managing different events underwater
station 4: Arc Search Pattern & lines
the divers will conduct an arc search pattern by using a line , developing orientation and search tecniques. they will also learn who to release their self
station 5: communication and recovery of an object
use of a rope for communication , activate support , locate underwater object and recover.
surface support role :

the divers will work as a team for :
repeat full mission scenario with emergencies add ons
the main diver has an emergency underwater while the team continues the mission .

Το πρόγραμμα απευθύνεται σε πιστοποιημένους δύτες που είναι τουλάχιστον 18 ετών και έχουν εμπειρία μέσω τουλάχιστον Advanced Open Water και Rescue Diver ή αντίστοιχου επιπέδου πιστοποίησης. Είναι ιδανικό για εθελοντές διασώστες, πυροσβέστες, ομάδες SAR και δύτες με ενδιαφέρον για έρευνα και διάσωση.
Όχι. Η συμμετοχή σε ομάδα διάσωσης δεν είναι υποχρεωτική. Ωστόσο, το πρόγραμμα είναι ιδιαίτερα χρήσιμο για δύτες που συμμετέχουν ή ενδιαφέρονται για εθελοντική ή οργανωμένη δραστηριότητα διάσωσης.
Η εκπαίδευση πραγματοποιείται κυρίως στην Αθήνα. Για οργανωμένες ομάδες, συλλόγους ή ειδικά αιτήματα, υπάρχει δυνατότητα διεξαγωγής και σε άλλες περιοχές της Ελλάδας.
Η εκπαίδευση περιλαμβάνει θεωρητική κατάρτιση και πρακτικές ασκήσεις στο νερό με σενάρια που βασίζονται σε πραγματικές διαδικασίες public safety diving, όπως:
Όχι. Ο εξοπλισμός όπως full face mask και underwater communication δεν είναι υποχρεωτικός για τη συμμετοχή στο course. Παρέχεται εκπαίδευση με τον βασικό εξοπλισμό scuba σύμφωνα με τα πρότυπα του προγράμματος. Ωστόσο , στις περισσότερες ομάδες public safety χρειάζεται η γνώση της χρήσης στεγανής στολής ή ολοπρόσωπης μάσκας. Παρέχουμε σχετική εκπαίδευση , οπότε σε τέτοια περίπτωση παρακαλώ ενημερώστε μας ώστε να σας παρέχουμε ένα πλήρες πακέτο εκπαίδευσης.
Το Surface Support Specialist είναι ένα συμπληρωματικό σκέλος του προγράμματος που εκπαιδεύει δύτες στον ρόλο υποστήριξης από την επιφάνεια. Περιλαμβάνει προετοιμασία εξοπλισμού, παρακολούθηση δυτών, διαχείριση γραμμών επικοινωνίας και υποστήριξη σε σενάρια κατάδυσης.
Η διάρκεια εξαρτάται από τον αριθμό συμμετεχόντων και τον προγραμματισμό της εκπαίδευσης. Συνήθως ολοκληρώνεται σε 2 έως 3 ημέρες πρακτικής εκπαίδευσης. Γενικά , τα προγράμματα της padi βασίζονται στις απαιτήσεις απόδοσης των μαθητών και όχι στην χρονική διάρκεια.
